The WORD: Gusto’s ROCKS, P’Dome goes to the dogs…..

Posted Jun 18, 2013 in News

G’Morning sports fans, congrats to those of you following the Bruins who earned a 2-1 lead in this years Stanley Cup by beating the Blackhawks last night. Of course we’re still waiting for the Habs to do something…. as they say, there’s always next year…

PLEASUREDOME is back brothers and sisters and back in a BIG way! Friday night found the Mothership landing in the Granite City and a newly remodeled Gusto’s to ROCK1004031_540058826052109_1662022948_n the masses in Central Vermont…. of course the joke was on us as the Barre Chapter showed up en masse with about 300 peeps walking through the door to share some love and squeeze every last bit of energy out of us… pretty cool.  It was our first time back in Barre since January and the first time many had heard some of the new tunes we’ve been working into the set recently. We must be doing something right since the dance floor (and the club) was packed all night long. Guess you can’t go wrong with Journey….

1017108_540062229385102_549142952_nMany thanks to the Gosselins on their hospitality and congrats on the work they’ve done at the club – amazing. Taylor Arsenault/Rock the 802 was there and shared some of his pics from the show – thanks Taylor, much appreciated. We’ll be back at Gusto’s on a much more regular basis, starting in August – tell your friends!

So this week we finally get down to business with our friends in Justice and Mindtrap at the big ROCK For Rescues show in Sheldon. A TON of people have put in huge hours to make sure this thing comes off and that the good folks at Franklin County Humane Society and All Breed Rescue get all of the support they need. It’s going to be an unprecedented event; a huge rock n’ roll party with busloads of our closest friends and 3 of the most kickass bands around today…. it can’t be beat. Pat Ashton and Vermont Concert Connections have put together a few “rules for the road” so you aren’t caught by surprise. Check it:

Vermont Concert Connection – “VCC- CAUSE WE ROCK”…..

Now our good friend Jeremy “JD” Dewyea is also trying to put a bus together for the event IF they can get 50 people to commit to riding it – excellent idea!! From the man himself:

“A minimum of 50 people will be needed to make this happen. Cost will be $25 per person. Pick ups will be at the K Mart shopping plaza on Shelburne Rd, Backstage Pub in Essex, the park and ride in Milton by the interstate and the park and ride in St Albans by the hospital. Beer will be allowed on the bus, 6 beers per person max! This is a real tour bus with a restroom. Pick up times will be set up soon, need to make sure we get enough interest before going that far. Please post to this or pm me if you are 100% sure you want to go. Ill post updates to this as I know how things are going.”
